This process changes in the El Nino effect, which affects the weather all over the world.
During an El Niño effect, the trade winds from the Pacific Ocean slow down, causing warm surface water in the Pacific Ocean to move eastward along the west coast of the United States. Due to this, the strong winds running from west to east, which are called Pacific Jet Stream, go to their neutral place i.e. towards the south.
