According to the information given on Neuralink's website, approval has been received from the Independent Institutional Review Board. The trial of the medical device PRIME (Precise Robotically Implanted Brain Computer Interface), in which a wireless brain-computer interface was tested, was successful. The purpose of this test was to assess the safety of implanting the chip in the human brain.
