Through a series of tweets on Sunday too, he said that any Twitter handle found to be engaged in 'impersonation' without explicitly specifying 'parody' will be suspended permanently. Twitter's new CEO further said that there will be no warnings as before, as widespread verification is being rolled out.

 

'No warnings will be issued now'

Musk tweeted, 'Previously, we issued a warning before the suspension, but now that we are starting widespread verification, there will be no warnings. This will be recognized as a condition of signing up on Twitter Blue.' He also added that any name change now will result in the temporary loss of the verified checkmark.

 

Twitter updates the iOS app for iPhone users

Earlier, Twitter updated its iOS app for Apple iPhone users, adding a new $7.99 per month Blue subscription. Twitter Blue with Verification is currently available on iOS in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
