ENG vs PAK: England clean sweeps Pakistan, defeats them by 7 wickets in the last T20 International match

England has won the four-match T20 series 2-0. In the last T20 International match, England defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets. Two matches of the series were canceled due to rain. England's win over Pakistan before the T20 World Cup will boost the team's morale.

 

England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bowl first. Captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan gave Pakistan a quick start. Both added 59 runs for the first wicket. Babar scored 36 runs off 22 balls while Rizwan scored 23 runs off 16 balls. Usman Khan scored 38 runs.

 

Four batsmen could not open their account

 

Apart from these three, experienced batsman Iftikhar Ahmed contributed 21 runs, and bowler Naseem contributed 16 runs. Six batsmen of Pakistan could not touch the double-digit mark. Among these, four batsmen could not even open their account and Pakistan was all out for 157 runs in 19.5 overs. Wood, Rashid, and Livingstone got 2-2 wickets from England's side.

 

Strong batting by Butler and Salt

 

In response to Pakistan's 158 runs, English captain Jos Butler and Phil Salt maintained their IPL form and batted aggressively. There was a partnership of 82 runs between the two in 6.2 overs. Phil Salt scored 45 runs in 24 balls while Butler scored 39 runs in 21 balls. Will Jacks contributed 20.

 

Haris Rauf got three wickets

 

Johnny Bairstow and Harry Brook led the team to a seven-wicket victory. Bairstow returned unbeaten after scoring 28 and Brook 17. England won the match by scoring 158 runs in 15.3 overs. The only successful bowler from Pakistan's side was Haris Rauf. Rauf took 3 wickets for 38 runs in 3.3 overs.
