During the hearing on the Waqf Amendment Act, the Supreme Court issued an interim order and sought a reply from the Central Government in 7 days. The Supreme Court has ordered that no appointment will be made in the Central Waqf Council and Waqf Board till the reply is filed. Several petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court against the Waqf Act. One of these petitions is also by AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi.

Asaduddin Owaisi's statement

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi is closely monitoring the interim order of the Supreme Court. Owaisi says that the central government is trying to weaken the Waqf, which is against federalism. This law has been brought to destroy the Waqf land.

What did Owaisi say?

While talking to news agency ANI, Asaduddin Owaisi said that our party and the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) stand firmly against this black law. This law violates fundamental rights. We are reviewing the interim order of the Supreme Court as it mentions 40-45 amendments.

Owaisi's anger erupts in the Center.

Owaisi says that the central government is trying to weaken the Waqf by going against the framework of federalism. For this, many sections have been added to the law. Our legal battle and protest against the Waqf law will continue. This law has not been brought to save the Waqf but to destroy it. We support the protest of AIMPLB.

Salman Khurshid gave a statement.

Congress leader Salman Khurshid also spoke on the Supreme Court hearing and said that all the arguments have been placed in the Supreme Court. The final decision will be of the court. Even if the new law is implemented, the Supreme Court has full right to review it. Whatever decision the court takes, we will accept it.

The hearing was held yesterday.

Let us tell you that a three-judge bench of Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Vishwanathan heard the petition on the Waqf Act on Thursday. During this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has asked for some time to prepare the answers to the court's questions. In such a situation, the court has given 7 days' time to the central government.
