The Russian military has stepped up attacks on cities in eastern Ukraine. On Thursday, there was shelling from tanks and cannons, then bombardment was also done by air strikes, and missiles were fired. At the moment ground fighting is going on only in Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhya, with only airstrikes taking place in the rest of Ukraine. The Russian army has given strength to capture the strategically important Bilohorivka in Luhansk. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the Russian military has achieved significant successes in eastern Ukraine. According to Luhansk Governor Serhiy Haidai, the Russian army has deployed a large number of reserve troops there. On Thursday, the Russian Navy shot down a Ukrainian drone in the Black Sea. The drone was near a military base in Crimea.

Russia's right on the Sea of Azov Putin

President Putin has said that the Azov Sea is now fully owned by Russia. It has become the inner sea part of him. Following the annexation of Crimea in 2014, Russia has also annexed other coastal areas of the Sea of Azov. Due to this, the strategically and commercially important Azov Sea has come into the hands of Russia and Ukraine has been completely cut off from it. President Putin is greatly influenced by Peter the Great, the ruler of Russia in the 17th and 18th centuries. He often mentions them in his speeches. This time he has spoken of himself walking on the path shown by Peter. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his army will liberate all the occupied territories of Ukraine, be it Crimea or the Black Sea, or the Sea of Azov.

Russia fired one thousand missiles-rockets to break the power system

Ukraine's state electricity company UkraineIrgo has said that Russia has not been able to destroy more than a thousand rocket and missile attacks on its power grid. The Russian army fired these missiles and rockets in October and November. Ukraine's power system has been heavily damaged by these attacks, and despite working round the clock, 100% restoration of the power system is not expected.

Due to this, people are facing a lot of difficulty in the cold season. Although President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine is increasing its electricity supply every day, difficulties remain in and around the capital Kyiv.
