Police have arrested a suspect suspected of a violent shooting in Detroit, Michigan. Detroit Police said a gunman opened fire on four people in just two to two-and-a-half hours on Sunday morning, killing three of them. Police arrested an unidentified suspect after hours of investigation with the help of the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Detroit Police Chief James White said police found traces that led officers to the suspect, but more details were not available, according to the AP news agency. On the other hand, the police department said on its Facebook page on Sunday night, 'Thank you to all the men and women of DPD (Detroit Police Department) who work taking daily risks. Also many thanks to the enforcement partners.

The attacker has no relation to the victims

Police Chief White said the police investigation found that all four people were shot with the same gun, which proves that it was a single person who carried out the crime. He said the investigating officers believe that the victims of the attack had no connection with the accused as one of them was walking his dog and the other victim was waiting for the bus, he said.

He said police found a 40-year-old woman who had been shot multiple times at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday. While officers were involved in the investigation, they were informed by an eyewitness that a 28-year-old man had also been shot several times. Another 40-year-old woman, who became the third victim in the attack, was fired several times at 6:50 am and died.

A bullet was fired at the elderly for being interrupted by peeping into the car

Detroit Police reported that at 7:10 a.m. an elderly man reported that he saw a man peeping into vehicles parked on the street. When the old man interrupted him, the gunman fired at him too. During this, the elderly got a bullet and he survived.
