Parliament Budget Session: Parliament session may start from January 31, Union budget will be presented on February 1

The budget session of Parliament may begin on January 31. According to the news agency ANI, the budget session of Parliament may continue till April 6. The session will begin with a joint session of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. During this, President Draupadi Murmu will address both Houses. This will be his first address to both the Houses of Parliament.

 

According to the information, the Economic Survey will be presented in both houses on the first day of the budget session. After this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget in Parliament. The budget can be presented on February 1. The first part of the session may continue till February 10. After this, the second part of the budget session will start on March 6 and it can continue till April 6.

In the first part of the budget session, both houses will discuss the motion of thanks on the President's address. After this, the Union Budget will be discussed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the motion of thanks in the President's address. Finance Minister Sitharaman will also reply to the debate on the Union Budget.

 

During the second part of the budget session, the discussion on Demands for Grants of various ministries gets major attention apart from the legislative agenda of the government. The Union Budget as a Money Bill is passed during this part of the session.

 

The work for the new Parliament House is being done as part of the Central Vista development. Those involved in the construction of Parliament are confident that the second part of the budget session can be held in the new Parliament building. During the last session, nine bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha and seven bills were passed by the lower house of the parliament. Rajya Sabha passed nine Bills and the total number of Bills passed by both the Houses of Parliament during the session was nine.
