Hong Kong's famous floating restaurant has submerged 1000 meters in the South China Sea. The incident took place near Paracel Island, Hong Kong. Due to unfavorable conditions, the main boat of this jumbo restaurant sank. No one is reported to be injured in the accident. Efforts are on to save the restaurant.

 

Where the Jumbo restaurant is submerged, the depth is more than one thousand meters, so rescue and relief work is getting difficult. This restaurant has hosted many stalwarts like Britain's Queen Elizabeth and Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise. It used to be the main attraction for tourists visiting Hong Kong.

 

Was being moved to another place after 46 years

 

Reports said that this incident of the drowning of Jumbo restaurant took place when it was being taken to another place by boats after 46 years. This jumbo restaurant in Hong Kong was a major tourist attraction for years. It started in 1976. Its Cantonese food was considered the best.

The Jumbo restaurant had not opened since the Corona pandemic. No investor came forward to revamp it. The owners made several attempts to revive it but failed to remove it from Aberdeen Harbor in Hong Kong when it sank.

 

According to Aberdeen Restaurant Enterprises, which operates it, the cost of running this floating restaurant was rising steadily. He was unable to continuously invest money. Millions of dollars were being spent every year on its maintenance. The company said that it does not appear that it will be restarted shortly. This floating restaurant has been taken away with the help of several boats. Hundreds of people had gathered to bid him farewell.
