
Life has been disrupted in many places due to the rain after the monsoon reached the entire country. Flood-like conditions have arisen in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.
The Indian Meteorological Department has alerted Central India, Uttarakhand and Haryana due to the danger of floods. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mahapatra said in an online press briefing that good rains are expected in Uttarakhand and Haryana.
Rainfall is likely to be below normal in large parts of the Northeast, many areas of eastern India and parts of the southern peninsula. Above normal temperatures may be seen in some parts of the Northeast, Northwest, East and Southern Peninsula.
Heavy rains may occur in these states
Heavy rainfall may occur in eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha and adjoining areas of Telangana and parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra. He said that this type of rain pattern usually occurs when the monsoon trough shifts southward from its normal position and when several low pressure systems are formed.
Usually, five low pressure systems form in July and move in the west-northwest direction. Rainfall may increase in most parts of eastern Rajasthan from July 1. In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in the state, along with cloudy weather and heavy rain was seen at some places.

Flood water has started reaching the coastal villages. People have started migrating in search of safe places. The administration is also constantly monitoring the situation.
