
New Delhi, Jan 23 (IANS) Overcast and foggy conditions Friday morning in the national capital led to the delay of over 30 trains.
The Met Office has forecast a cloudy day ahead with thundershowers in many parts of the city.
"It is likely to remain cloudy throughout the day. Thundershowers are likely," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 16 degrees Celsius.
According to Northern Railway, 31 trains were running late and 1 train was rescheduled due to the fog in and around the national capital.
The visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 800 metres and humidity was 97 percent.
Delhi received 6.5 mm rainfall till 5.30 a.m. Friday.
Thursday was cloudy with the maximum temperature being 13.2 degrees Celsius, eight notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 11 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
