Gates formed the company in 1975 with Paul Allen. He was the CEO of the company until 2000. In 2008, he founded the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, an organization for public welfare. He donated about 355 crore rupees to the institution in 2018. Gates served at the board of directors at Microsoft since 2014.
