Relief news has emerged for India facing the second wave of Covid-19. After more than 4 lakh new cases of corona have been reported in India for four consecutive days, it is now declining for two days. This is a good sign for the countrymen struggling with this epidemic. Let us tell you that according to the Ministry of Health, there have been 3,48,421 new cases of corona in the country during the last 24 hours. On this basis, experts are also saying that the peak of the second wave of corona in the country has now passed. Let us tell you that the number of corona patients started to gain momentum in the country in February.
According to Dr. Jugal Kushar, Head of the Community Medicine Department of Safdarjung Hospital, the second wave of peak or the highest level in the country has now come to an end. He says that now a gradual decline in cases will be recorded. Although he has also said that the peak of the second wave has ended at the national level, but it is not finished at the state level. According to him, where the peak of this second wave has arrived in some states, there are some states where it is still to come. But at the national level, it can be said that this phase has now passed, although the danger has not yet been postponed.
In response to a question about the possibility of a third wave, Dr. Jugal Kishore says that any wave depends on the changing nature of the virus. If the mutation of the virus continues continuously, then there is a possibility of it coming. At the same time, another reason is that even if the people who have got immunity are lost after some time, the possibility of this cannot be ruled out. This is because in such a situation the changing nature of the virus can re-engulf these people. He says that during the second wave of Corona, about 50 percent of the population in the country has been hit.
However, even after the first and second waves, some people have been out of their grip. In such a situation, they are more likely to come in the third wave. Apart from this, newborns also have easy access to it. According to Dr. Kishore, the possibility of a third wave cannot be ruled out, but it can also be prevented. For this, we have to vaccinate people fast. In the event of maximum vaccination, the dangerous form of the virus will change and we will be able to control it. Dr. Jugal Kishore, Professor of Community Medicine, also says that people have to be more vigilant and alert to stop the third wave.
