Mahi magic showed at the age of 40 Dhoni dived and ran out Bhanuka Rajapakse.

The 11th match of the tournament in IPL 2022 is being played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Here the magic of Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen in the second over of the match. CSK won the toss and elected to bowl against Punjab. In the very second over, Bhanuka Rajapakse was run out for 9.

On the second ball of Chris Jordan's over, Bhanuka wanted to steal the run by playing a right-handed shot to the left of the bowler, but Jordan quickly caught the ball and threw the ball at the striking end. The ball did not hit the wicket, but Dhoni came running forward and, while driving, hit the ball on the wicket.

This throw of Mahi is becoming fiercely viral on social media. Dhoni is 40 years old, but his agility is built on sight. MS did a similar run out in the last over against Bangladesh in the 2016 T20 World Cup. Even then Dhoni had shown the way to Mustafizur Rahman off the field by hitting a brilliant throw while running a long run.

Bhanuka's bat did not run this time

Sri Lanka's Bhanuka Rajapaksa was bought by Punjab Kings in a mega auction for Rs 50 lakh. His bat may have been silent against Chennai, but in the first two matches, he entertained the fans a lot. He scored 43 runs in 22 balls against RCB and 31 runs in 9 balls against KKR.

Two wickets lost in two overs

Batting first, Punjab had a poor start and on the second ball of the match, captain Mayank Agarwal was dismissed by Mukesh Chaudhary after scoring 4 runs in 2 balls. On the very first ball of the match, Mayank hit a brilliant four on the fine leg but lost his wicket on the very next ball. Robin Uthappa caught Mayank at the catch point.
