In the IPL on Tuesday, Punjab Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets in a one-sided match. PBKS had a target of 144, which the team achieved by losing 2 wickets in 16 overs. Shikhar Dhawan scored an unbeaten 62 and was the top scorer. At the same time, Liam Livingstone made an unbeaten 30 runs in just 10 balls while batting.

In the 16th over of the match, Livingstone scored 28 runs with a bang. Livingstone hit 3 sixes and 2 fours in this over of Mohammed Shami. With this, this was Punjab Kings' fifth win in 10 matches. The team has also lost 5 matches. At the same time, this is the first defeat after Gujarat's 5 consecutive victories. The team led by Hardik won 8 out of 10 matches and lost 2 matches.

Earlier, batting after winning the toss, the Gujarat batsman was disappointed and the team scored 143/8 in 20 overs. Sai Sudarshan played the highest unbeaten innings of 64 runs. For PBKS, 4 wickets came in the account of Kagiso Rabada.

Bairstow's poor form continues

Punjab opener Jonny Bairstow did not bat once again. He scored just one run in 6 balls. His wicket was taken by Mohammed Shami. Not a single half-century has come off his bat this season. In the last 5 matches, he has scored 32, 6, 9, 12, and 12.

Except for Sai Sudarshan, none of the batsmen could play a good innings for Gujarat. The Punjab bowlers kept the pressure on Gujarat from the very first over. The highest 4 wickets came in Rabada's account.

Sudarshan alone showed his strength

Sai Sudarshan, batting well, completed the first half-century of his IPL career in 42 balls. Batting at number 3, Sai stood alone for the team and scored an unbeaten 64 at a strike rate of 128.

Rabada's dangerous bowling

In the match, Kagiso Rabada bowled brilliantly, taking 4 wickets for 35 runs. He dismissed Rahul Teotia and Rashid Khan in two consecutive balls. Apart from Rabada, Rishi Dhawan and Liam Livingstone have got one wicket each.

Neither the captain nor the opener

By the fourth over, both the Gujarat openers returned to the pavilion. Shubman Gill got out after scoring 9 runs. At the same time, Wriddhiman lost his wicket for 21 runs. Captain Hardik Pandya's bat also did not play in the match. He could only score one run in 7 balls and became the victim of Rishi Dhawan.
