Questions were raised on the safety of foreign nationals, including China, present in Afghanistan after the firing on the Chinese hotel in central Kabul on Monday. Meanwhile, the Chinese government on Tuesday advised its citizens present in Afghanistan to leave the country as soon as possible. Explain that after the Taliban rule, China had kept many of its people there with the hope of investing in Afghanistan.

Chinese Foreign Minister expressed concern about the firing

On Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin expressed concern over the shooting at the guest house in central Kabul, according to the news agency AP. He urged the Taliban government to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident. Apart from this, advice has also been given to take firm steps on this incident. "Because of the current security situation in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again advises Chinese citizens and institutions in Afghanistan to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible," Wang said.

China has good relations with the Taliban

Please tell that on 15 August 2021, the Taliban captured the power of Afghanistan. After this, the Taliban government has always turned to China for financial help. Zabihullah Mujahid, a government spokesman appointed by the Taliban in October, highlighted China as an important part of Afghanistan's economic development. China has also revealed its aspirations to play a major role in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US forces. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi recently called on the US to remove Afghan assets held abroad and end sanctions on the Taliban government at a regional conference.

On Monday, some militants opened fire at the Shahr-e-Nawa Hotel, a guest house in central Kabul. The sound of the blast was also heard in the building. An eyewitness told that the explosion was very strong and several rounds of bullets also fired. Some attackers entered the hotel and fired continuously. On this incident, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah informed through a tweet that all the three attackers who attacked have been killed. Please tell that the guest house which was attacked is called the Chinese Hotel because senior Chinese officials used to come here often.
