
Gurugram. This year the city will get 15 infra projects costing more than 50 crores. On Thursday, the administrative secretary of the government, Anurag Rastogi, reviewed 15 infra projects costing more than Rs 50 crore in the district. Of these, three projects are of the Public Works Department, 7 projects of GMDA, 4 projects of Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, and one project of Public Health Department.
Rastogi instructed that now the development works should be accelerated. Complete them in stipulated time. Rajeev Yadav, Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department said that the Tower of Justice is being constructed for Rs 133.52 crore by the Public Works Department near the Mini Secretariat. 82 percent of its work has been completed. Which will be completed by the end of this year.
The office of the Excise and Taxation Department has almost completed in Sector-32 at a cost of about Rs 57.5 crore. The third major project of the Public Works Department is the work of construction of flyover at Atul Kataria Chowk on Old Delhi Road and underpass along with service road is in progress. The total cost of this project is Rs 81.38 crore. 47 percent of work has been completed by spending about Rs 17 crore.
Out of 7 projects of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, work is being done to build an external road from Umang Bhardwaj Chowk to NPR. Which will cost around Rs 81 crore. This work is targeted to be completed by the end of this year. Work is being done to make HUDA City Center Chowk and its adjoining area jam-free, which is almost 60 percent complete. This work, being done at a cost of about Rs 53 crore, will be completed by October 31 this year.
An amount of about Rs 52 crore has been spent on this work and the construction of its two tanks has been completed. About 30 percent of work on the third tank has also been completed.
Three different contacts were given under this project. Drinking water supply has also been started after completing the work of laying drinking water line in Sector-58 to 67. Work is in progress in Sector-68 to 80. Testing is going on after completing the line laying work in Sector-81 to 90 last week. The work of laying lines for the remaining 115 sectors is going on. 100 MLD capacity STP will be built by GMDA on SBR technology for Rs 172 crore.
Similarly, drain along with SPR will be constructed from Vatika Chowk to Delhi-Jaipur Highway at a cost of about Rs 85 crore. whose budget has been prepared. The water treatment capacity of Chandu Budheda Watershed will be increased by GMDA at a cost of about Rs 76 crore. A budget has been prepared for this also. In the works of the Municipal Corporation, the work of construction of multi-level parking at a cost of about Rs 93 crore in Gurugram's Kaman Sarai area is pending due to encroachment.
Administrative approval has been received by the Municipal Corporation for the construction of the Art and Clutter Center in Sector-53 and now its tender will be done. The project will cost around Rs 195 crore. Similarly, a detailed project report has been prepared for the construction of a stadium in village Wazirabad at a cost of about Rs 184 crore.
This project will cost around Rs 106 crore.
