Heat rises in many parts of North India; Delhi-UP and Haryana may receive rain today

In most parts of North India, the heat increased as the temperature was recorded around 40 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the south-west monsoon has advanced and reached West Bengal. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that thunderstorms and thunderstorms are likely to occur at some places in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan on Saturday.

 

 

The mercury crossed 42 degrees Celsius in the national capital on Friday. A few days ago there was thunderstorm and rain. The Safdarjung observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The figure of Safdarjung Observatory is considered the official figure of the city. The weather stations at Palam and Pusa recorded maximum temperatures of 42 ° C and 42.7 ° C respectively. The Meteorological Department said that the sky is likely to be partly cloudy on Saturday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 41 ° C and 30 ° C respectively. Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the regional forecast center of the meteorological department, has said that the region is unlikely to run till June 15.

Agra is the hottest place in U.P.

Scorching heat was also recorded in large parts of Uttar Pradesh, located in the neighborhood of Delhi. The Meteorological Department said that Agra was the hottest place in the state with maximum temperature of 42 ° C, followed by 40.9 ° C in Jhansi, 40.8 ° C in Aligarh, 40.2 ° C in Hamirpur and 40 ° C in Bareilly. The department said that there is a possibility of rain or thunderstorm in the next 24 hours in some parts of the state.

 

 

Heat rises in Punjab as well

Most places in Haryana and Punjab recorded maximum temperatures above normal. Mausam Department said that Hisar was the hottest place in both the states with the maximum temperature being 42.8 degrees Celsius which is two degrees above normal. In Haryana, Narnaul recorded a maximum temperature of 41 ° C, Ambala 40.1 ° C and Karnal 39 ° C. Temperatures in Ambala and Karnal were one degree above normal. In Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 41.3 ° C and 41 ° C respectively. Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, the shared capital of the two states, recorded a temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius.

 

 

Temperature reaches 45 degrees in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan

Mercury continued to rise in Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, Sriganganagar recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 45 degrees Celsius. He said the maximum temperature was recorded at 44.7 ° C in Bikaner, 43.7 ° C in Jaisalmer and 43 ° C in Barmer and Jodhpur. Day temperatures in Churu, Jaipur and Ajmer were recorded at 42 ° C, 41.5 ° C and 40.9 ° C respectively. Light to moderate rains occurred at some places in the state. Sriganganagar recorded 14.2 mm of rain from Friday morning to evening and 9.4 mm in Jodhpur. The Meteorological Department has forecast light rain at some places in Bharatpur, Banswara, Dholpur, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Sirohi, Barmer, Hanumangarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Pali and Jalore districts during the next 24 hours. It has also predicted heat wave conditions in Bikaner, Nagaur, Churu and Sriganganagar during this period.

 

 

Kolkata reach monsoon

According to Kolkata-based Regional Meteorological Center, the southwest monsoon has reached most parts of the state of West Bengal and is receiving moderate rainfall. The Regional Meteorological Center said that due to the formation of low wind pressure over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, the monsoon arrived in the state. A meteorological office spokesperson said that Kolkata received 38.4 mm of rain since 8.30 am, while most districts of South and North Bengal received light to moderate rainfall since morning. Meteorologists have said that a similar weather is forecast for the next 24 hours.
