IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that the heatwaves running in Rajasthan will increase the temperature in other plains as well. Earlier, the record of 76 years of maximum temperature in Delhi has already been broken. The mercury touched 40.1 degrees Celsius in Delhi on Monday.

On the previous day, temperatures were recorded at 41 degrees in Bhopal, 40.2 degrees in Indore, 40.5 degrees in Jabalpur, and 40.8 degrees in Gwalior. With this, Chhattisgarh is also experiencing a hot summer.
