Hijab Row: Hearing continues in Supreme Court, AG of Karnataka said – Hijab banned in Turkey and France too

The petitions against the hijab ban in Karnataka were heard once again in the Supreme Court today. Arguments were made on behalf of both the government and the petitioner. Advocate General Prabhuling Navadgi presented the arguments on behalf of the Government of Karnataka. The petitions challenging the hijab ban are being heard by a bench of Justice Hemant Gupta and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia.

 

Hijab banned in countries like Turkey and France: Advocate General Prabhuling Navadgi

During the hearing, Karnataka Advocate General (Advocate General) Prabhuling Navadgi said that many Muslim mothers and sisters do not wear hijabs. Hijab is banned in countries like Turkey and France, yet Islam is spreading there. Not wearing it does not make a woman less Muslim.
