The investigation into the intimate abuse and blackmail case that surfaced in Amravati has yielded several shocking revelations regarding the accused, Ayan Ahmed. According to the police, during interrogation, the accused stated in a remarkably casual manner that he had become a ‘playboy’ following his first breakup.

Investigating officers suggest that this case appears to be linked less to a mental illness and more to a specific mindset and lifestyle. Ayan Ahmed was highly active on social media, and his lifestyle has emerged as a pivotal factor in this entire affair.

According to the police, Ayan ran a successful mobile phone business and also earned a substantial income through paid promotions on Instagram. With approximately 18,000 followers, he commanded a significant presence on social media.

Establishing Contacts via Social Media

Despite this, he would frequently borrow money from his friends and family. The police state that he utilized these funds to sustain his lavish and ostentatious lifestyle.

Ayan Ahmed would establish contact with young women through social media and gradually cultivate a friendship with them. He would spend approximately four to five months attempting to win their trust, ensuring that the other person placed their complete faith in him. Once he felt that this bond of trust had been established, he would allegedly demand—or exert pressure for—intimate relations.

Ayan Linked to a Political Organization

Police investigations have also revealed that Ayan Ahmed had, at one point, managed the social media handle for the Amravati unit of the AIMIM; however, he was subsequently removed from that role.
