
Pakistan's Anti-Terrorism Court has extended the interim bail of former Prime Minister Imran Khan till September 12. Earlier in August, PTI chief Imran Khan was booked on a complaint by Islamabad Sadar Magistrate Ali Javed for threatening a female judge in the federal capital during a rally on August 20.

Imran Khan appeared in the court this afternoon to attend the hearing in person in response to the summons issued by the court. Extending the interim bail till September 12, the court directed Khan to deposit Rs 1 lakh as surety, local TV channel ARY News reported. During the hearing, the court was told that four new sections 186, 504, 506, and 188 have been added to the FIR against Imran Khan.

The former prime minister had obtained bail from the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in a case where he was charged under the Terrorism Act for threatening speeches against a woman judge and Islamabad police officers. The ATC had granted interim bail to the PTI chairman till September 1 against a surety of Rs 1 lakh and directed him to appear before the court again.
