The pace of the second wave of corona in the country is starting to decrease. Corona was confirmed in 2 lakh 63 thousand 21 people in the country on the previous day. This was the second consecutive day when less than 3 lakh infected were found in a single day. Earlier on Sunday, Corona's report of 2.82 lakh people came positive.

 

On Monday, 3 records of Corona cases were reported in the country. In the last 24 hours, a record 4 lakh 22 thousand 391 people beat Corona. This is the largest figure of people recovering from corona in a day. Earlier, on May 8, 3.86 lakh people were cured.

 

In this way, in the last 24 hours, there was a decrease of 1.63 lakhs in the number of active cases. Earlier, on May 16, the number of patients undergoing treatment was recorded at one lakh 836.

 

However, the death toll is worrying. A record 4,334 infected people died in the country on Monday. This is also the largest figure of those who lost their lives in a day. Earlier on May 7, 4,233 people died.

Restrictions like lockdown in 19 states

There are restrictions like complete lockdown in 19 states of the country. These include Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Goa, Telangana, West Bengal, and Puducherry. There are stringent restrictions like the previous lockdown.

 

Partial lockdown in 13 states/union territories

There is a partial lockdown in 13 states and union territories of the country. That is, there are restrictions here, but there are also exemptions. These include Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.

 

Corona updates

 

According to the Indian Medical Association (IMA), 269 doctors have died so far due to infection in the second wave of the corona. Of these 78 doctors were from Bihar.

 

Famous doctor and Padmashree KK Aggarwal died late on Monday night. He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi after being corona infected. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.

 

In Uttarakhand, the second phase of Corona curfew will remain in force from 6 am on May 18 to 6 am on May 25. 20 people allowed at weddings and RT-PCR negative reports should not be older than 72 hours. Patients going to the doctor will be given an e-pass on exemption and health emergency.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with regional officials of several states and districts today about their experience of dealing with the epidemic. The Prime Minister's Office gave this information.

 

State of major states

 

1. Maharashtra

 

On Monday, 26,616 people were found infected. 48,211 people recovered and one thousand people died. So far, 54.05 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 48.74 lakh people have been cured, while 82,486 people have died. 4.45 lakh patients are currently undergoing treatment.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh

 

On Monday, 9,345 people were found infected here. 23,045 people recovered and 271 people died. So far, 16.28 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of this, 14.62 lakh have been cured, while 17,817 patients succumbed. Here, 1.49 lakh patients are being treated.

 

3. Delhi

 

In Delhi, 4,524 people were found corona positive on Monday. 10,918 people recovered and 340 died. So far, 13.98 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 13.20 lakh people have been cured, while 21,846 patients have died. 56,049 is undergoing treatment here.

 

4. Chhattisgarh

 

On Monday, 6,577 people were found corona infected Monday. 13,865 people recovered and 149 died. So far, 9.19 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 8.11 lakh people have been cured, while 11,883 patients have died. 96,156 patients are undergoing treatment.

 

5. Gujarat

 

On Monday, 7,135 people were found corona positive in the state. 12,342 people recovered and 81 died. So far 7.52 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 6.50 lakh people have been cured, while 9,202 patients have died. 99,620 people are being treated here.

 

6. Madhya Pradesh

 

On Monday, 5,921 people were found corona positive in the state. 11,513 people recovered and 77 died. So far, 7.37 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 6.41 lakh people have been cured, while 7,069 people have died. 88,983 patients are undergoing treatment.
