The fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir made the record for bowling the fastest ball in IPL 2022. Umran can now debut in Team India from the T20 series against South Africa. However, before his debut, his mentor Irfan has given him special advice.

Irfan Pathan while discussing the Star Sports show game plan while talking about Umran's rapid rise in world cricket said, 'I always tell him that you have to focus on your line and length but you have to keep your pace at all. should not be reduced. The more he tries to keep the ball closer to the three stumps and bowls hard lengths, then everything else will be fine.

Fast bowler Umran broke Jasprit Bumrah's record in the 15th season of the league. Speed Gun Umran is the youngest Indian bowler to complete 20 wickets in a single season of IPL. The SRH fast bowler took 22 wickets in 14 matches in IPL 2022.

Irfan further said, 'After every match, I have simple advice for him, be it in IPL or any other match. What did you do well today and where do you need to improve. This process should continue till he or someone else plays cricket. We have also seen Sachin Tendulkar follow this process, though no one else has had a career like him.
