Explain that this webinar is a part of the series of 12 post-budget webinars being organized by the central government. Through this, ideas and suggestions can be collected regarding the initiatives announced in the budget.

'One Earth, One Health'

In the webinar, PM Narendra Modi said that India is not limited to health care only, but is taking a step ahead and working for welfare. That's why we have put the vision of 'One Earth, One Health' in front of the world. It is very important to have a good and modern health infrastructure in the country.

Today, one and a half lakh health and wellness centers are being prepared in the country. These centers have facilities for screening serious diseases related to diabetes, cancer, and the heart. We have about 9000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras and very cheap medicines are available here at market rates. Apart from this, poor and middle-class families have got a saving of about 20 thousand crore rupees.

Critical health infra took to smaller towns

PM Modi said that under PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure, critical health infra is being taken to smaller cities and towns. New hospitals are being built in small towns… A complete ecosystem related to the health sector is developing.

A big step for Medical Human Resource

Prime Minister Modi said that more than 260 medical colleges have been opened in the last years. The number of medical seats has doubled today after 2014. Opening 157 new nursing colleges near medical colleges is a big step for medical human resources.

India's pharma sector has won the trust of the whole world

Recalling the Corona period, PM Modi said that sometimes disaster also brings an opportunity to prove oneself. How India's pharma sector has gained the trust of the whole world during the Covid period is unprecedented. We have to capitalize on it. We are constantly trying to minimize India's dependence on foreign countries. Making treatment affordable in India has been a priority of our government.
