Continuing its previous performance in Australia as well, the team defeated Western Australia XI (India vs Western Australia XI) by 13 runs in a warm-up match on Monday. Batting first at the WACA Ground in Perth, India scored 158 runs for 6 wickets. In response, Western Australia XI could only score 145 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs ahead of the best bowling of Indian bowlers.

Chasing the target of 159 runs from India, Western Australia XI had lost their 4 wickets for 29 runs in 6 overs at one time. In these, Bhuvi-Arshdeep took two wickets each.
