The Indian team is playing a warm-up match before the main matches of the tournament. Continuing its previous performance in Australia as well, the team defeated Western Australia XI (India vs Western Australia XI) by 13 runs in a warm-up match on Monday. Batting first at the WACA Ground in Perth, India scored 158 runs for 6 wickets. In response, Western Australia XI could only score 145 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs ahead of the best bowling of Indian bowlers.

Chasing the target of 159 runs from India, Western Australia XI had lost their 4 wickets for 29 runs in 6 overs at one time. In these, Bhuvi-Arshdeep took two wickets each.
