Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that India will become a global leader in green energy. It is time for clean and green energy. The new generation of entrepreneurs will help India a lot during the next 20 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also its supporter. Ambani said this in the program Asia Economic Dialogue-2022 of Pune International Center. The program which started on 23 February will continue till 25 February.
Ambani said India will lead the transition to green energy and become a global leader in solar and hydrogen energy in the next few decades. Currently, India is the leader in the Information and Technology (IT) sector. Asia has seen bad times in the last 20 years. Now its time has come and the 21st century will belong to Asia.
India will leave Japan behind
Ambani said that India will soon overtake Japan in terms of GDP. During a conversation with Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, President, Pune International Centre, Ambani said that in the next 20 years, 20 to 30 Indian energy companies have the potential to be as big as Reliance.
Europe had overtaken India and China
Ambani said that when the use of fuel changed from wood to coal, Europe left India and China behind. Similarly, after crude oil, the countries of America and West Asia went far ahead. Now is the time for India, when this country will become self-reliant in green energy. He also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he is a big supporter of New and Clean Energy.
India will be the second-largest economy country in Asia
According to Ambani, by 2030, India will become the second-largest economy in Asia and the third-largest economy in the world in terms of GDP. That is, it will be at number three after China and America. He said that the center of the global economy has shifted to Asia. The GDP here will be more than the rest of the world.
India's growth story is better than China's
Ambani said that India's growth story is better than China's. For this, you have to work on three things. First of all, the growth rate of India should be 10%. Also, the share of clean and green energy in the energy basket will have to be increased. The third task is self-reliance. India's dependence on coal will end in the next 10-15 years.
