Indian defense sector gives the highest number of jobs in the world: Statista report claims, even surpasses US-China

Statista is a private organization based in Germany, which issues data or statistics on different issues around the world. In the report, India's Defense Ministry has been described as the world's largest employer. In this case, America is second and China is third.

 

According to Statista, the present government has given jobs to 29.2 lakh people in the Defense Department. These jobs are given in all the departments of the three services (Air Force, Navy, and Army). India is followed by the US Defense Ministry. Here 29.1 people were given jobs. At the same time, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China gave jobs to 2.5 million people.

 

Walmart has 23 lakh, Amazon has 16 lakh employees - Report

According to the reports, the American company Walmart has the most employees. Walmart gave jobs to 23 lakh people. At the same time, Amazon has 16 lakh employees. Amazon is also an American company.

 

India ranks third in military spending

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), world military spending will hit an all-time high in 2021 with US$2.1 trillion. America is at the top in terms of its highest military spending. It is followed by China and then India at number three. According to the news agency, America's military spending in 2021 was $ 801 billion. At the same time, China spent $293 billion on its army, and India $ 76.6 billion.

 

If we talk about India, then four years ago i.e. in 2018, India was in the 5th position, and then the total military expenditure was $ 66.5 billion. That is, by 2021, this expenditure has increased by $ 10.1 billion (Rs 7.74 lakh crore).

 

That's why America remains on top

According to the report, US military spending reached US $ 801 billion in 2021, which is 1.4% less than in 2020. In 10 years, the US increased the budget for military research and development by 24% and decreased spending on weapons purchases by 6.4%. In second place is China, which spent 293 billion US dollars on defense. It was 4.7% higher as compared to 2020.
