
The man who killed Paul Pelosi, the husband of US Parliament Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been identified as David DiPape. Police said he was looking for Nancy at the time of the attack. Paul Pelosi was attacked on October 28, ie late Friday at 2 pm. The attacker forcibly entered Pelosi's San Francisco home and assaulted her.
San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said Paul was attacked by 42-year-old David DiPape. He entered through the back door of the house. She was heard shouting 'Where is Nancy'. A scuffle broke out between the attacker and Paul. We reached the spot as soon as we got information about the attack. We saw that the attacker was holding a hammer and Paul was trying to escape. By the time we could stop the attacker, he hit Paul on the head.
Nancy was not at home
An official said Nancy Pelosi was in Washington at the time of the attack. He is a speaker so he has guards to protect him. In America, politicians are given full protection, but their family members are not given any security of any kind.
Police investigating the reason for the attack
Police said that the reason for the attack is not yet known. It is being verified. San Francisco Attorney Brooke Jenkins said – There have been some hate comments on social media in the name of David DiPape. We are investigating whether those comments are from the attacker David. If these comments were from the attacker, then the reason for the attack would be revealed.
Paul's condition is critical
Paul, 82, was taken to the hospital after the attack. Doctors told that he had suffered a serious head injury, due to which there was a skull fracture. He has had surgery. At present, his condition remains critical.

Scott said – This attack was intentional. Such an incident, about two weeks before the midterm election, is going to increase the risk of political violence. We immediately arrested the attacker. He's injured too. At present, he is admitted to the hospital for treatment. He will be interrogated once his condition is stable.
