In the procession taken out in the Jahangirpuri area on April 16 on Hanuman Janmotsav, the encroachment and illegal construction done by the accused of the violence will be demolished. North Delhi Municipal Corporation has made full preparations for this. People are scared of running a bulldozer.

Along with this, due to the unofficial information about the removal of encroachment since Wednesday morning, people are also afraid of it. A person present at the spot said that they collect garbage or waste material here. Now they are removing it because we have come to know that bulldozers will come here.

Highlights:

Before the anti-encroachment drive was announced by the MCD, DCP North West Usha Rangnani inspected the Jahangirpuri area along with the police team.

Delhi Police on Wednesday morning took stock of the situation in Jahangirpuri, where violence broke out during a religious procession on April 16.

Significantly, State BJP President Adesh Gupta has written a letter to the Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) Raja Iqbal Singh demanding action. In such a situation, it is believed that big action can be taken here on Wednesday. For this, the corporation has asked 400 policemen. On Tuesday also, security was sought to remove the encroachment of the junkyards in Jahangirpuri, but this could not be possible due to a lack of police force.

Adesh Gupta has requested the Mayor in his letter. In this, he has said that some anti-social elements had pelted stones on the procession taken out on April 16. They have done illegal construction and encroachment under the protection of local leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party. Action should be taken to identify illegal constructions and encroachments.

Corporation wrote a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Police

The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has written to the Commissioner of Police of the North-West District to conduct a drive against encroachment from Tuesday to Thursday. In this, the corporation informed that along with the Public Works Department, various departments of the corporations will run a campaign against encroachment in the Jahangirpuri area.

Officials of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation say that anti-social elements have encroached on the road and public property with junk. The officials have been directed to make the Jahangirpuri area free from encroachment and illegal construction. For this, action can be taken at any time of the day on Wednesday.

At the same time, in this regard (Raja Iqbal Singh, Mayor, North Delhi Municipal Corporation) says that the zonal officers had sought security on Tuesday too, but action could not be taken due to the non-availability of the police force. Will take action again today.
