Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday indicated that the Center is considering the re-statement of Jammu and Kashmir. In an event titled Center State Relations - Cooperative Federalism: The Path Towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat on Saturday, Nirmala Sitharaman said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fully accepted the report of the 14th Finance Commission. Therefore, today 42% of the tax is given to the states. It is currently 41% less because J&K is no longer a state. It will soon become a state… it may happen after some time.
I don't differentiate between BJP and non-BJP states: Sitharaman

PM Modi has also been the Chief Minister, so his approach has not only been to sit on the post but to win the trust of the people with all his work.

Apart from the common needs of all, this money is not going to be spent anywhere. That is why we have given this slogan – Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.
