Kajal Aggarwal's leaf cut from 'Indian 2', Deepika will be seen in the lead role with Kamal Haasan

After the success of 'Vikram', Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan is now gearing up for his next project. It is reported that he is going to start shooting for 'Indian 2', a sequel to director S Shankar's blockbuster film Indian, from the end of this month. The film has been delayed due to differences between Kovid and the production house and Shankar. The new discussion is about the cast of this film. Everyone knew that Singham girl Kajal Aggarwal will play the lead actress in this film but after her marriage and recently having a baby, there seems to be a twist in it.

Inside, it is being said that Deepika Padukone has been approached to replace Kajal Aggarwal. However, no one is saying anything officially about this yet. It is being claimed that the team of Lika production has approached Deepika and her consent to join the project is expected by the end of this month. Apart from 'Pathan', Deepika is currently doing 'Project K', in which her opposite Prabhas. Director Shankar is also looking for an alternative to actor Vivek. Vivek died last year. Apart from this, 'Indian 2' Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani are playing important roles. Anirudh Ravichandra is giving music in this film.

Bollywood Hungama had reported a few days ago that Kajal Aggarwal's leaf has been cut from this film and actresses like Deepika Padukone, and Katrina Kaif is being considered in her place. The reason behind this is being told that the film is being designed as a Pan India film. Work started towards making it a pan-India successful film like RRR, KGF 2, and Pushpa. Kamal Haasan's comeback from 'Vikram' has re-created his image of a pan-India hero and hence preparations are being made to make the film bigger with a lead actress equal to his stature.
