In the 5 seasons of the upcoming series The Lord of the Rings- Rings of Power, more than 1 billion dollars, i.e. about 8 thousand crores are being spent. Every episode of its first season has been prepared by the makers on a budget of 463 crores. The first season of Lord of the Rings made in 3700 crores has already become the most expensive series in the world.

Half a dozen small-budget films in India can be made from the budget of one episode of this series. India's most expensive series is Sacred Games, whose first season is made in only 40 crores and the second season is made in 100 crores. The budget for an episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is twice the total budget of both its seasons.

The Lord of the Rings series The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is all set to stream on Amazon Prime in September this year. Amazon has spent about $ 464 million to make this series. This series is going to show the story of Middle Earth, which has never been shown so deeply on screen before. One-third of this budget has been used for infrastructure. It has become the world's most expensive season series, spending $ 58 million per episode. According to the reports, it can have 5 seasons. Stranger Things lead stars David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown and Winnow Ryder have charged around Rs 3 crore for each episode. Apart from this, other stars Finn Wolfhard and Noah Snape have charged 20 million per episode. A major part of the budget is spent on Starcast's fees, while apart from this, the biggest expenditure is on sets and VFX.

Marvel Studios is constantly making series on its fictional characters. Every episode of the series The Wanda Vision and Loki, released during the Corona period, has invested $ 25 million, i.e. 199 crores. Marvel Studios spends $200-300 million on its films, which are only 2 to 3 hours, but when Marvel made a series of 9 episodes, this budget doubled. The reason was that each episode was over 40 minutes long. If calculated, the series has been made for around 9 hours in total, due to which its budget is more than Marvel's films.

This series depicts the painful story of World War 2 in the Pacific. To show the real situation of the war, HBO shed money like water on the series. 159 crores were spent to make every episode, while this 10-episode series was made in 1500 crores. The makers spent 40 crores on the landing scene of actor Joseph Majella. 300 actors worked hard for 4 days in the scene. Real-looking helmets and nets were made for 300 actors in the film, while 3000 uniforms were made. More than 1800 weapons were made and 20 big blast scenes were recorded, which cost a lot. About 40 lakh rupees were spent on each scene of the stampede.

The makers spent $15 million on each episode of the eighth season of the popular series Game of Thrones. The cost of each episode of its first season was only $ 6 million. The last 4 episodes of its last season were made 80 minutes, showing the lengthy battle between the White Walkers and Jon Snow, for which thousands of artists shot nonstop over 55 days. The makers also spent a lot of money on the VFX of the last episode.

The Mandalorian series has had two successful seasons so far. Each episode of its second season has been produced for $15 million. A major part of the budget of the series has been spent on preparing its sets and the characters seen in the series. Its budget was increased with metal suits, weapons, and animations.

Apple produced 20 episodes of The Morning Show on a budget of $300 million. About 15 million have been spent to make every episode of it. A big part of this big budget has been used for Starcast's fees. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have charged 1.25 million i.e. 10-10 crore fee for each episode.

There have been 4 successful seasons of Netflix's series The Crown so far. The first season of the series, which started in 2016, spent $13 million on each episode. The series was prepared on the royal theme, in which every detail was taken care of by the makers. Royal sets, mansions, designer clothes, and jewelry, made up the bulk of the budget. If reports are to be believed, the royal life of the series also caught the attention of Queen Elizabeth of England.

Each episode of the fifth season of the ER series, which ran since 1994, cost $13 million. The big reason for this hefty expenditure was the hefty fees for the star casting of the series. The series starred Anthony Edwards, George Clooney, Shari Stringfield, Noah Vial, and Julianna Margulies in lead roles. All these stars got such fame from the series that they increased their fees till the fifth season.
