
A big controversy has arisen over the permission of Ganesh Puja at Idgah ground in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. According to the latest information, a large number of police have been deployed around the ground to handle the matter. Meanwhile, the Waqf Board of the state has approached the Supreme Court against it, where the hearing will start in some time. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal had mentioned the matter for urgent hearing. He said that the High Court order would create unnecessary tension. The Division Bench of the Karnataka High Court had allowed the Karnataka government to consider the applications seeking use of the Idgah ground at Chamarajpet and pass appropriate directions.

The Mayor said that six organizations had sought permission to install the Ganesh idol, out of which one was selected and the rest were requested to cooperate in celebrating the festival in a good manner.
