The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched India's third lunar mission 'Chandrayaan-3' on Friday. Various space agencies including Europe, Australia, and America also got cooperation in this mission. Let us tell you, the Chandrayaan-3 mission is the latest mission of ISRO's Moon Craft series. It will demonstrate the technology required for interplanetary spaceflight and aims to achieve India's first soft landing on a celestial body.
The operation will run for 14 days
The lander module is equipped with instruments to measure surface temperature and seismic activity around the landing surface. NASA has also installed a laser retro-reflective in it. At the same time, the instruments of the rover will be used to investigate the lunar surface material. According to the information, the surface operation will last for about 14 days.
Communication is most important for space mission
Referring to the launch of Chandrayaan-3 on its portal, the European Space Agency said in a statement that communications are an essential part of every space mission and ground station operators on Earth keep us safely connected to the spacecraft. The agency said that without the support of a ground station, data cannot be acquired from the spacecraft. The European Space Agency says that ISRO operates a 32-meter deep space tracking station in India. This enables him to locate, track, command, and receive telemetry and scientific data from spacecraft. However, when the spacecraft is out of reach of the antenna, ISRO operators need to track it or give commands. The European Space Agency said that it costs a lot to build new huge antennae and control stations.
Fostering International Space Flight Cooperation
According to the agency, like many space agencies and commercial companies around the world, ISRO will also receive support from stations of partner organizations. Not only does this reduce costs, but it also promotes international space flight cooperation. The European agency said in its statement that Gonahili will support the Chandrayaan-3 calendar module. This will help ensure that the data received by the rover reaches ISRO in India safely. The data and telemetry sent by Chandrayaan-3 through Gonahili will first be sent to the European Space Operations Centre. After this, it will be sent to ISRO for analysis.
Canberra Deep Space will create communication
Meanwhile, the Canberra Deep Space Communications Complex tweeted, "Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex, our sister station on the Moon will maintain communications for the Chandrayaan 3 mission." Explain that Canberra Deep Space Communications is part of NASA's Deep Space Network.
