A vegetable shopkeeper in the Kollam district has accused Congress workers of threatening them. The vegetable shopkeeper alleges that Congress is collecting funds for the Bharat Jodo campaign in Kollam. Under this, two thousand rupees were demanded. He was beaten up for not paying the money. The video of this incident is going viral.

The vegetable shopkeeper said, 'A team of Congress workers came to my shop and started asking for donations for the India Jodo Yatra. I gave 500 rupees, but they started asking for 2 thousand rupees. They threw away my scales and vegetables for not paying the money.

At the same time, action has been taken against Congress workers after the video surfaced. State Congress President K Sudhakaran has suspended three workers from the party for assaulting vegetable vendors. He has also made a tweet regarding this.

Leader of Opposition from Kerala VD Satheshan, General Secretary KC Venugopal, Senior Leaders Ramesh Chennithala, K Muraleedharan, and NK Premachandran is included in the Yatra. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Rahul Gandhi will interact with workers, entrepreneurs, and party colleagues during the halt of the yatra at Neendakara in the district.
