The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has disclosed the Pharmacist Umesh Kolhe Murder Case in Amravati, Maharashtra. The NIA claims that Umesh Kolhe was killed by radical Islamists of the Tablighi Jamaat to avenge his alleged insult to Prophet Mohammad. NIA has claimed this in its charge sheet. The NIA filed its charge sheet in the court on Friday.

It was also said in the charge sheet that not only Amravati but peace was disturbed in the entire country due to the Amravati massacre. Due to this murder, there were riots in different areas. After these riots, people were threatened to quit their jobs. Due to their safety, many people hid in their homes. The probe agency said that such a terrorist act has raised questions about India's integrity and steadfastness.

The NIA has termed it an act of terror by a gang of radicalized people. The NIA further said that they wanted to set an example through this murder. Umesh Kolhe was murdered on the grounds of hurting religious sentiments.
