According to sources in news agency PTI, Virat Kohli wanted to remove Rohit Sharma from the post of vice-captain. Virat had gone to the selectors with a proposal to remove Rohit as vice-captain in limited-overs. The Indian captain said that Rohit is now 34 years old. In such a situation, KL Rahul should be made the vice-captain in ODIs and Rishabh Pant in T20. However, this proposal of Kohli was not liked by the board, as they believed that Virat did not want any successor.
