
According to a report by ESPN Cricinfo, 7 out of 8 IPL teams have retained their players for the new season. It has been said in the report that Punjab Kings is not keeping any of its old players with them. The franchise will be a part of the players' mega auction for the entire Rs 90 crore.

Retention process for IPL 2022
Today is the last day of the retention process for next year's IPL. Today all the franchises are going to submit the list of their players. Mega auction is to be held before IPL 2022. This time two new teams will also join. Each team can retain a total of 4 players. The cost of retaining four players will be 42 crores.
A team's purse for the auction is 90 crores. The eight already existing teams have to submit the names of 4 players to be retained today. At the same time, two new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad can add three players each from December 1 to 25.
