Nevertheless, the Ministry of Home Affairs has given exemption to restart several essential industries from 20 April.
In a letter to the National Highways Authrorities of India, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that it is further stated that toll duty collection contributes to the government exchequer and also provides financial strength to NHAI for budgetary support. NHAI should take necessary action to comply with the orders in view of the relaxation provided by the Ministry of Home Affairs for movement of all trucks and other goods or carrier vehicles to interstate and outlying states. In view of this, recovery of toll will be resumed from April 20, 2020.
