Lok Sabha Election: Notification released for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, nomination begins on 102 seats; Voting will be held on 19th April

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Notification has been issued for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The nomination process for 102 seats in 21 states and union territories in the first phase has started from today.

 

This is the last date for nomination

The last date for filing nominations for 102 seats in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections is March 27. However, the last date for nomination for Bihar has been kept as March 28. Whereas the last date for withdrawal of nomination is March 30. Apart from this, the date of April 2 has been fixed for the withdrawal of nominations in Bihar.

 

However, due to a festival, the last date for filing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha seats in Bihar has been kept as March 28. Voting will be held in the first phase on four out of 40 seats in Bihar.

 

Voting will be held on 102 seats in these states

Elections will be held on 102 seats in 21 states in the first phase. They include Puducherry, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Nagaland, Andaman Nicobar.

 

When will the first phase of voting take place?

In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, voting will be held on 102 seats in 21 states and union territories on April 19. Elections for the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on April 19 and will be followed in seven different phases on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Whereas the counting of votes will take place on June 4.
