A shocking case has come to light in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, where the oxygen supply of a Covid patient was stopped in the hospital, killing her. CCTV footage has also surfaced after allegations of the kin of the deceased patient at a government hospital in Shivpuri. In this, a person is seen closing the oxygen supply button near the bed of an elderly patient. The hospital administration, which initially denied any negligence, has now started an investigation and has called for strict action against the culprits.

After the death of the patient at the government hospital in Shivpuri, 300 km from the capital Bhopal, his son said that he was in the hospital with his father till 11:30 pm. After this, he went home. After a few hours he received a call from the hospital and the patient died shortly after being taken to the ICU in the morning.

The patient's son said, "He was feeling better for the last two-three days." He was eating and getting better. On Thursday night, the staff stopped the oxygen supply. I got a call in the morning. When I reached the hospital, I told the staff to give them oxygen. He refused. After this, I took him to the ICU, but he died within 15 minutes. ''

Now a minute of CCTV footage has surfaced, in which an elderly person looks somewhat restless on the bed. A health worker standing near the bed calls his other colleague. One of them appears to press the button at the end of the clip. Both health workers were not wearing PPE kits.

The hospital administration has formed an inquiry committee of three members, headed by Dr. Anant Kumar Rakhode, HOD of the surgery department. The committee has to submit the investigation report in 48 hours. Chief Medical Health Officer Arjun Lal Sharma told reporters, "As far as District Hospital is concerned. We have 76 oxygen beds, 30 ICU beds. There is a sufficient amount of oxygen. The patient was also undergoing dialysis. His hemoglobin was also low. However, if found guilty, he will be punished.
