Mumbai, ANI. The fast-growing corona infection cases in Maharashtra have raised the government's concern. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that we do not have adequate vaccine doses available at various vaccination centers, due to lack of dose we have to send people back. We have demanded from the Center that Corona Vaccine should also be given to those aged between 20 and 40 years on a priority basis.
Regarding the deficiency of the corona vaccine, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Padekar says that there is a shortage of the COVID-19 vaccine in Mumbai. Yesterday, we had a dose of 1,76,000 vaccines but in the coming days, we will need more vaccines.
Rajesh Tope said that we are working on a war footing to increase the number of beds in Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, and other parts of the state. The state produces 12 metric tonnes of oxygen per day and the state consumes 7 tonnes of oxygen a day. We are seeking the supply of medical oxygen from nearby states. If the need arises, we will have to shut down industries where oxygen is used. But the supply of oxygen to the patients will not be affected.
Please tell me that in Maharashtra, the situation is getting worrisome. In the last 24 hours, 55469 new cases of corona infection have been confirmed here and 297 infected deaths have been recorded. 34256 people have been sent home from the hospital after being found healthy. According to data from the Department of Health, there are a total of 31,13,354 cases of corona infection in the state, out of which 4,72,283 patients are active. A total of 25,83,331 have been healthy so far. So far 56,330 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic.
In India, people typically retire from work at 60, but by 83, talk of retiring from life begins.
