Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has targeted the government for cutting allowances of government employees and soldiers. He criticized the government's move not to increase the dearness allowance of government employees, and said that it is not appropriate to make it difficult for central personnel and soldiers at this time.

According to the video of the party's advisory group meeting released by the Congress, Singh also said that the Congress has to stand with these government employees and soldiers at this time. Singh is the chairman of the recently formed Congress Advisory Group. This group meets through video conferencing at intervals of one day. He said that we have to stand with those people whose allowances are being deducted. I believe that at this time there was no need to create trouble for the government employees and the people of the armed forces.

In the meeting, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that on one hand, money is being spent on the Central Vista project and on the other side money is being taken from the middle class. It is not that this money is being given to the poor. Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram and party's chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala also said that instead of reducing the allowances to the employees, the government should stop the Central Vista project and other unnecessary expenses.

No allowance of soldiers and staff, Central Vista, Bullet train project stopped government

The Congress termed the government's move not to increase the dearness allowance of central employees and pensioners as a 'sprinkle of salt on the burn' decision, saying that instead of cutting the allowances of soldiers and employees to the Narendra Modi government, 'Central Vista', bullet train Projects and wasteful expenditure should be stopped. Former party president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government's decision was insensitive and inhuman. He tweeted that instead of suspending the Bullet Train Project and Central Vista Beautification Project costing lakhs of crores, the government's insensitive cutting of dearness allowance of central employees, pensioners and soldiers of the country serving the public by battling Corona virus epidemic And inhuman judgment.
