New Delhi, March 5 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on his birthday and wished him a long and healthy life.
In a tweet, Modi said: "Good wishes to Madhya Pradesh's popular chief minister and my friend Shivraj Singh Chouhan on his birthday. I wish him good health and a long life."
Born on March 5, 1959 in a farmer's family, Chouhan became the chief minister of the state for the first time in 2005. He steered the BJP to its third successive electoral triumph in the state in the 2013 assembly polls.
