
Chennai, March 11 (IANS) The central government will soon introduce a new bill in parliament to curb black money, a senior bureaucrat said here on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters Shaktikanta Das, secretary, department of revenue, ministry of finance said the government will bring the bill against black money and stashing of money abroad soon.
According to Das, the Swiss authorities have agreed in principle to support the Indian investigations into money stashed abroad.
Earlier speaking at an interactive session organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Das said the work pertaining to the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime from April 1, 2016 is on.
He said the government will also announce the roadmap removing the tax exemptions which in turn would close large number of tax related litigations.
