For 70-year-old Ellen Yates, who lives in Britain's Old Age Home, it is a difficult time. He has diseases like lungs, asthma and arthritis. He is not even able to walk on his own. Her husband Michael was a soldier of the Royal Pioneer Corps Soldier of Britain. Due to a heart attack in 2004, then brain haemorrhage, his health is also poor.

Both people live in an old age home with the help of others. But the corona virus epidemic has further aggravated the crisis of elders like Michael and his wife Ellen. Actually, Europe is most affected by this epidemic because of the corona virus. Here countries have banned the exit from people's homes. For this reason, their sons and daughters are unable to know their condition.

According to one figure, more than four lakh people live in care homes in the UK alone. The biggest havoc of Corona in European countries has been on Old Age Home. More than half of the elderly in these old age homes in Italy, France, Spain and Britain are currently in hospital. After being expelled by the family, they were trying to live the life they had left in these Old Age homes, but Corona pushed them to premature death.

'It is very scary to get corona positive of so many elders'

Seeing the old age home being vacated, the other people living there are getting emotional. Of the 64 elderly people living in a care home in Liverpool in the UK, 6 have died, the remaining 44 are also hospitalized due to infection. Care home staff said that getting so many elderly Corona positives together was very scary. Ellen says that we never expected the situation to become so dangerous.

He said that we faced more problems due to lack of staff. There are also problems in taking them to hospitals outside due to lockdown. He told that these elders who were expelled from the family lose the desire to live the same way, after which they are motivated to play the new innings of life. Now many elderly people are also suffering from depression due to the virus.
