Begged for son's body: After the postmortem, the hospital asked for 50 thousand, and parents went door to door to collect money

In Samastipur, Bihar, an incident of shame to humanity came to the fore. On Tuesday, after the postmortem at the Sadar Hospital here, 50 thousand rupees were demanded from the poor parents to give the body of the son.

 

The family did not have that much money. They returned to their village to jugaad money. After this, they were seen begging in the village by spreading aanchal. Going to people's homes and telling their helplessness, appealed for help. During this someone made a video. which went viral.

Actually, this amount was demanded by the hospital staff. When the matter reached the hospital management, the body was handed over to the police in a hurry. After this the funeral took place on Wednesday. On the other hand, the villagers said that the family is so poor that it could not even perform the last rites of the son, so some people of the locality helped.

 

Son was missing since May 25

 

Sanjeev Thakur, the 25-year-old son of Mahesh Thakur of Aahar village of Tajpur police station, was missing since May 25. The family did a lot of research. On June 7, they got information that the police recovered the body of an unidentified youth in Musrigharari police station area. After this he reached Musrigharari police station. Information was given from the police station that the body was sent for postmortem. Parents rushed to Sadar Hospital.

At first the postmortem person refused to show the dead body. Later, after pleading, he showed the body, which was identified by the parents as that of their son Sanjeev Thakur. When the father demanded the dead body, the employee asked for Rs 50,000. Refused to give the dead body for not paying the money.

 

The body was given to the police, then the family performed the last rites.

 

On this matter, Civil Surgeon Dr. SK Chaudhary says that he has got information through the media. This is a shame to humanity. Strict action will be taken after investigation on this. When the video surfaced, the hospital administration hurriedly handed over the body to the police. After this the family performed the last rites.
