The Central Government has issued new instructions for the packaging of cigarettes and other tobacco-borne substances. According to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, now the packets of cigarettes and other products will have to write tobacco consumption i.e. premature death in capital letters. Let us tell you that earlier, tobacco ie painful death was written on the packet of tobacco products.
The revised rules have been issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on July 21. The new rules will come into effect from December 1, 2022. Apart from this, on the back side of the packet, it will be written in white letters on a black background, leave today, and call 1800-11-2356.
Let us tell you that selling any kind of tobacco or any substance containing it to a minor is a violation of section 77 of the Children's Justice Act 2015. Under this law, there is also a provision for imprisonment of up to seven years and a fine of up to one lakh rupees for the accused.
