New record of speed merchant Umran Malik: Ball bowled at 154 kmph against Chennai, left Lockie Ferguson behind

Sunrisers Hyderabad's stormy bowler Umran Malik has made the record of bowling the fastest delivery this season. The Jammu and Kashmir bowler bowled the ball at a speed of 154 kmph, which is the fastest ball ever in the current IPL. Before him, the record for bowling the fastest ball in this season was in the name of Gujarat Titans fast bowler Lockie Ferguson. Lockie Ferguson bowled the ball at a speed of 153.9 kilometers per hour this season.

Umran bowled the ball at a speed of 154 not once or twice against Chennai in the IPL match played in Mumbai on Sunday. The first ball, he bowled the second ball of the 10th over at a speed of 154 kilometers per hour. Chennai opener Rituraj Gaikwad hit a four on this ball. At the same time, the third ball of the second ball 19th over was also thrown at the same speed. Dhoni was on strike at this point and took a run playing towards mid-off.
